Privacy, explained plainly.
Effective September 27, 2026. This policy explains how MyStylr collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our app and website.
Information you provide
We process your name and email address to create and secure your account. When you use the service, we also process the style preferences, wardrobe photographs and item details, conversations with the stylist, recommendations, saved outfits, planner entries, feedback and wear history that you choose to provide.
Location and weather
Location is optional. If you grant permission, your device sends coordinates to Open-Meteo to retrieve local weather and uses the device's location service to identify a nearby city. If permission is unavailable, the app may use GeoJS to estimate a city from your IP address. MyStylr receives only the resulting weather context needed for recommendations; our servers do not store your raw coordinates.
AI processing and your permission
Outfit recommendations, garment photo analysis, styling answers and optional photo enhancement use third-party AI. Before any of that data is sent, the app asks for your permission and explains what will be shared. You can withdraw that permission in Profile; AI features then stop. A privacy policy or terms page is not a substitute for that in-app permission.
When you allow AI styling, we send only the wardrobe photographs you upload, the item details you save, the style preferences you choose, and the stylist messages plus occasion or weather context needed for that request. We do not send your password or payment data (MyStylr has neither).
Those requests are processed by Amazon Web Services through Amazon Bedrock, using Anthropic Claude models, for photo analysis, outfit selection and styling advice. Optional garment photo clean-up may use Stability AI through Amazon Bedrock. When hanger-style photo editing is enabled, OpenAI processes the source garment photo for that edit. These providers act as processors for MyStylr and are contractually required to protect the information with safeguards at least as protective as this policy. They are not permitted to use wardrobe content to advertise to you.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, operate the digital wardrobe, provide outfit and styling recommendations, maintain saved looks and plans, deliver requested notifications, respond to support requests, protect the service, diagnose reliability problems and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use wardrobe content for third-party advertising.
Service providers and sharing
We use service providers only where needed to operate MyStylr. AWS provides hosting, private image storage and the Amazon Bedrock AI processing described above. OneSignal processes a random notification-specific account identifier, account name tag, device and subscription identifiers, and limited app/device diagnostic data to deliver notifications and troubleshoot delivery. MyStylr does not receive or store raw push tokens or OneSignal subscription identifiers. Open-Meteo and GeoJS provide weather and location lookup services. Our email provider delivers verification and account messages. For internal operations, a new-account notice containing the account name, email and internal user identifier is sent to an access-controlled team channel on Telegram. Providers process information under their own terms and security controls.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards.
Storage, retention and security
Account data is stored in managed databases. Wardrobe images are stored in private object storage and delivered through short-lived signed links. Information is encrypted in transit, and production storage uses encryption at rest. We retain account data while your account is active and delete user-scoped active data when you delete the account. Limited security, fraud-prevention or legal records may be retained when necessary, and provider backups and operational logs expire under their applicable schedules.
Your choices and rights
You can update style information, remove wardrobe items and photographs, delete saved outfits and planner entries, control notification and location permissions, revoke active sessions, or permanently delete your account from Profile. Instructions for account and selected-data deletion are available at mystylr.com/delete-account. For another privacy request, email privacy@mystylr.com from the address associated with your account.
Children
MyStylr is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
International processing and updates
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards. We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. Material updates will be identified by a revised effective date and, where appropriate, an in-product notice.
